CHRIST OUR SALVATION (1997)

Christ is the center of our faith, the source of salvation through Him, with Him and in Him we live our liturgy of praise to the Father in the communion of the Holy Spirit. The Church sings His face and her beauty as the only begotten of the Father, His infinite love that led him to give his life for us, his Word, which opened our hearts and our minds to the truth. This collection of songs contains the ordinary and some parts of the Proper of the Mass of Christmas, the day the Church celebrates the coming of Christ the Saviour. The ordinary shares and some songs such as "Totus Tuus", were written for the jubilee of the priestly S. Pope John Paul II and performed in S. Peter the 1st November 1996, the anniversary of his ordination. The Mass was composed for assembly, choir and orchestra or organ. The musical seeks to recover a feast of traditional forms combining them with the lively participation of the assembly favored by melodic choruses easy to learn. The choir sings polyphonic parts and also has the function of solemnizing some assembly operations. The solo voices are involved in some passages emphasizing the lyrical moments of intense involvement. "Christ our salvation " is an initial proposal for the jubilee celebrations planned in the way of preparation for the year 2000 and the hope is to contribute effectively to solemnize the event.

LAUDATE DOMINUM (1998)

"Laudate Dominum in sanctuario eius ..." The Liturgy of Vatican II has not forgotten the Latin texts for nearly two thousand years that accompanied the celebration of the mysteries of our faith. Sacrosanctum Concilium paragraph 114 expressly says, "is to be preserved and fostered with great care the heritage of sacred music, " Proposing this song in Latin, then, means to keep alive the memory of a textual and musical repertoire of great value that rightfully belongs to the Christian communities . Laudate Dominum includes songs that follow the liturgical year in order to solemnize a number of important celebrations. A proposal addressed, then, especially the choirs of the Cathedrals and more Cies, but also to the parishes. Some tracks also include the participation of the Assembly which is responsible for dell'antifona repeat chorus or other similar forms-Gregorian now (think Rorate Coeli, Alma Redemptoris mater, Attende Domine ...). If the context privilegiatodi these songs is the liturgical action, there is nothing that they can be carried out in other areas, such as time for meditation and contemplation for our spiritual life. I dedicate these songs to the choirs and also to young people who want to engage in them, because in preparation for the Jubilee celebrations and to be able to experience the joy of serving and praising the Lord. "Iubilate Deo omnis terra et denedicite gentes Deum nostrum"

JOY TO THE WORLD (2001)

This anthology of songs is an invitation to joy to the whole world. In the gallery next to the original songs I wanted to include and develop some classical and popular songs that take us back to the spirit of Christmas, they come from different musical traditions and cultures, in processing and orchestrations have tried to characterize each in their own style and according to the own characteristics. Christmas has constantly inspired the imagination of musicians and often these tunes have entered the cultural imagination and heart of their nation or even one of the world. Every nation and every culture has contributed to illuminate one aspect or another of the mystery of the Incarnation, sometimes with depth and poetry, sometimes taking in the most marginal and folklore, sometimes giving us the masterpieces. Languages and different approaches, however, show us so eloquently that in the heart of every man, anywhere in the world and in every culture, the mystery of Christmas does not go unnoticed. Every man is amazed at the wonder of the God-Child who comes to live our lives, taking upon himself all our sufferings and our joys. Even today Jesus wants to live our lives and walk on our streets, "sharing in everything except sin, our human condition" (Phil 2). The world of our time seems smaller than that of the past, the impressive development of technology and the ease with which any man can communicate with other people living in other continents should facilitate the spirit of communion and friendship, but we know that this does not always happens. The music may instead be a powerful weapon, able to unite the neighbors to the far and making them vibrate in unison for the beauty of the love of Christ. Our hope is that this disc, even if in small part, can contribute to the achievement of such a prodigy.
